This thing is a fire hazard!

My wife and I asked for one on our wedding registry and got it. We were quite happy for the first couple weeks before the clock went haywire and the controls stopped working properly. It would either stop, show nonsense characters, or turn off entirely. In this state, the controls would no longer work so you could not turn the machine on or off. The only option was to unplug it. At one point, I went into my kitchen and found that it had randomly turned itself on and was heating itself in a dry state. This could definitely have caused a house fire if something had been sitting to near when it happened. Figuring it was just defective, I returned it for another one. The new one is now doing the exact same thing, within days of getting it. I will return this one for a refund and never buy another. I just don't trust it not to burn down my house and don't want to have to plug it in and set the clock every time I want to program it. I want a coffee maker that will have my coffee ready for me when I finish my shower in the morning. Not one that will have me grabbing my wife and running out of the house to avoid the flames.

The regular drip coffee maker delivers decent coffee and the espresso is fine for the low price of the machine, but not outstanding.

I make espresso and capuccino daily without problem, although I am somewhat disappointed that my espresso isn't as strong as I would like no matter what coffee I use, but the milk frother is a plus and delivers better than other machines and in the end makes the best capuccino around.

I bought this machine about 2 monthes ago. I use it daily, I love being able to set the timer and have hot ,fresh ,strong coffee ready for me when I get up! I have experienced on a couple of different occasions that there was water that had dripped out all over the counter, but still made coffee, Im not to sure what happened? I have also found that the espresso part of the machine does not brew the coffee as strong as I would like it, regardless of the type of espresso coffee I use. I use skim milk in the frother part and have experienced hot frothy milk, and I havent found it difficult to clean as long as you do it shortly after use. Over all Im pretty happy with the machine but may have expected more for the money!
