Instillation and use is very easy (tho had a little trouble with the reverse screws when installing). Once it was on been working for well over a year. The red light lets us know when to replace the filter tho you need to keep an eye of your water pressure as the indicator relies on constant pressure - so if your water pressure drops you may need to replace the filter while the light is still green - you'll get the hang of when exactly after a few months.
