Very nice coffeemaker!

The only things keeping me from giving this machine a full rating of 5 are the following:
If you don't open the top all the way up, it can drip a bit of water on the counter. Not a lot, and I really just need a bit more counter space, but it's still a small issue. If the top is opened all the way though, water from it is nicely collected into the back of the machine.
The other small issue is that there's a somewhat small opening in the top where you pour in the water. It's easy to pour due to the nice shape of the carafe, but it can be tedious to look in and see how much water is in it.
My wife and I bought this one after having a terrible experience with a Delonghi Figaro machine. We went through two of them, having both of them break with weeks of purchasing.
Reading the bad reviews on the Delonghi, people complained about how bad the pouring spout was on the carafe. At the time, I figured it was only a matter of getting the hang of it since I didn't spill every time I used it. Just some of the time. Using this machine however shows how a properly designed spout should work. This one pours perfectly every time, which is really a nice touch.
The coffee itself has been great and as hot as I like it. I couldn't ask for anything more where that's concerned.
The controls are very simply to use and I love being able to program it to turn on for me in the morning AND to turn off after a preset duration. Having it programmable was a must-have feature for us but being able to have it turn off after an hour rather than some pre-set non-configurable amount of time is a nice added touch. I just set it up in the evening and forget about it.
Even if the power goes out, which it has, this one will keep the time at least for a little while.
It has worked flawlessly every time and I just love the smell of coffee when I come down the stairs in the morning.
I highly recommend this machine for anyone in the market. I've been very happy with it.
Needs 3 yr warranty
Rating:
We loved this coffee maker until it started breaking at the 2 yr mark. The dispenser leaked and they replaced it for us twice. However at just at 3 years the timer broke. This is one of the main reasons we purchased. The features are great (adjustable warming plate, charcoal filter and beep signal when done brewing). However, for 99.00 it should last at least five years.
Finally Found It!

After purchasing 3 other coffee makers, the 4th one is the charm! This coffee maker makes great tasting coffee. I never knew there was a difference -- it's worth spending a few more dollars on. It also has all of the features I was looking for such as: adjustable warming plate, 1-4 cup selection, water filter, programmable. It is a rather tall machine, but certainly not a problem as it fits fine underneathe most cabinets. Als, the carafe is well-made and has a spout that pours nicely without spilling. No complaints about this one!
