Mr Coffee 12 Cup

Not a "bad" coffee maker overall. The leakage problems everyone complains about are mainly due to the plastic insert that houses the filter. If not in the proper position, hot water goes all over the place. Haven't had any other phantom leaking problems with this unit to speak of other than that. It throws steam like a locomotive and you had better open the top after brewing because it has considerable condensation build up. Coffee taste is okay, and pretty fast to brew. Programmable timer is pretty tough to figure out, and it is hit or miss sometimes. Warming plate does a great job and is easy to clean. I bought this after my good old Braun classic kicked the bucket. That was a much better coffee maker in my opinion hands down. This is my first Mr. Coffee and probably my last. All in all an "okay" coffee maker that will not astound you. The coolest thing about it is the green glowing clock in the center. My son calls it the "radar" screen, and well, it does resemble a radar screen. Also, watch for price fluctuations on this unit. I got it at Target for $39.99. I've seen it go for up to 60 and better. DO NOT PAY THAT MUCH FOR THIS COFFEE MAKER! Im saving up for another Braun. I wish they would make a 12-cup model that is accessable. Everything they make is 10 cups it seems.
Have had better

I have only had this unit in White for 2 days and already the pause brew switch has broken. The coffee will not drip into the pot as the switch is stuck in the closed position. Also, the automatic 2 hour shut off time goes by quickly. I'm looking for a replacement as I type.
