After finally giving my 4 cup KitchenAid Ultra maker the ol' heave-ho ( so long dribble dribble, wasted coffee, & cleaning )
I spent many hours reading over dozens of reviews to find the best pod maker on the market. I figured if I was going to buy something, I wanted it to be worth my money in the long run. I almost bought a Keurig B-50 K-cup brewer. With all the waste of thorwing out cups, the possibility of k-cups being disscontinued one day, & being limited to ordering online... nah... I heard about the cheap quality & luke-warm coffee of Senseo, & Leaks of Melitta one:one.
Bunn My Cafe is very easy set up. It has simple yet very sturdy pod drawers ( you get 2 tea / coffee). It is easy to fill, has a large opening water reservoir. I can use all of my regular tea bags. Silent when not in use. Goes into sleep mode after 6 hours. It makes the standard sounds while brewing, but nothing extra when its finished like some coffee makers that keep making "puffing sounds".
*** side note:
Call me a nut... but I got very excited when two cool blue lights came on unexpectedly during brewing! they shine down on the cup! : )
The red BUNN release button glows! there are also three icons on the touch pad that light up! ~giggles~
*** end
Don't let the dimensions fool you it is very compact, about the size of a standard 12 cup maker.
Solid commercial-quality machine!
Hot & never lukewarm!
I am a seldom coffee/tea drinker but love the on demand access.
I searched high & low for the best.
With its simplicity, compact design, & endless coffee & tea choices ( hot water on demand ) you have to say Bunn My Cafe is the #1 contender.
Best single cup maker ever!!

I have the Senseo at work, which is fine because I like several small cups throughout the day at the office, and getting up to fill the tank about twice a day gets me some exercise. But, for home, I bought the Bunn My Cafe. I liked the idea that I could fill the tank from the top using a pitcher of filtered water, that the coffee would be piping hot, and I could change the amount of water for each cup very easily with the dial on front. It seems to have all the quality I expect from Bunn, with smoothly working and sturdy parts. You can use any size pods and just adjust the amount of water to get the strength of coffee you like. AND the best pods ever are the ones that Amazon was featuring when I ordered the coffee maker, from Aloha Island Coffee Co. I have tried them all, coolbeans, podheads, and all the grocery store brands, even the Senseo pods from Europe that aren't marketed in the states. While they were fresher than anything we get in the states, the Aloha Island are the freshest of all. It is absolutely the best coffee I've ever made at home!
Best Pod Brewer Out There!

I have used this machine for a couple of weeks now and I just love it! You have convenience, one touch brewing of coffee or tea (pods or tea bags), no measuring of coffee grounds, no paper filters to fiddle around with, and virtually no mess. You don't even have to touch the coffee pod when the machine has finished brewing! You take the pod holder out and flip it over the trash can & the used pod falls into the trash.
I personally love flavored coffee and have tried Java One (hazelnut), Millstone (hazelnut), Folgers (French Vanilla), Cool Beans Pods (great variety-check out their website) and all these work great in this machine. I have tried using the tea button for coffee and that makes a stronger cup of joe for those of you who like that extra punch in your fuel. After fooling around some more with it (since you have the power to brew between 4-12oz of coffee), I have found that I prefer brewing about 9oz per single pod only because I don't like real strong coffee. It also makes a light layer of froth on top of your cup after brewing and the coffee is piping hot. YUM!
I debated over which single cup brewer would be the right one for me. I actually owned the Keurig B100 brewer for about a month and I resold it because I didn't like that I was only limited to 8oz per cup. I've read that the Melitta version is mostly limited to their pods-sorry, I like variety. I also thought about the Black & Decker Home Cafe pod brewer but all the bad reviews scared me away and I wasn't going to try the Senseo after reading about the cup size limitation. There are times when I want to brew coffee for my 16oz travel mug and my Bunn allows me to do that-plenty of room for larger size mugs.
I'm glad I finally found a single cup brewer that I can live with. True it costs a little more than the average pod brewer but it's also true that you get what you pay for-it's worth the extra money! I highly recommend this machine-it's definitely a keeper!
