I have had my coffee maker for approximately 1 1/2 years. Six months later I had to change the plastic top which at the time cost me around $30.00 and lasted about 3 months. Again I am having trouble with the top. It is broken and when I try to open the lid, the plastic part which should according to your advertisement be glass is again broken. I must admit that the coffee brewed in it is very good, but does not stay warm. I realy think this is very poor product and not very happy with it.

I received this coffee maker 2 years ago as a gift. The handle was loose and the plastic lid leaked when the coffee brewed. At 9 months the brewing time became very short and coffee became very weak. At 11 months the coffee would not stay hot. NOTHING worse than luke warm coffee. Poor product.
Great coffee---for awhile!

We received this as a Christmas gift a year ago (2002). For the first few months, we were dazzled; the coffee was terrific and it perked up fast. Then the plastic top cracked (at about 6 months). At about 9 months, the top could only be rested on the metal portion of the lid, so of course coffee leaked out during the perking. At 13 months, the heating element died and we're now in the market for a new cordless percolator. However, after reading customer reviews of the few other cordless models on the market, they seem to suffer similar weaknesses, so perhaps we'll just go back to a non-cordless model.
