My first Farberware Pot lasted 30 years. When we built a vacation home, I purchased another pot. After two weeks it stopped perking. I returned it to the store, and they replaced it. With seasonal use, primarily on weekends, the first thing that went wrong was the cord. Sometimes the pot would work, sometimes not. If you fiddled with the cord you could hear it making static noises. I replaced the cord. Next the pot stopped perking. The perk would last for a couple of minutes and the coffee was more like tea. Farberware said the problem was the pump tube. $9.01 later, the pot still didn't perk. A letter to Farberware/Salton on March 9th resulted in the usual "out of warranty" response. The questions I presented, specifically about quality and the limited life of the pot, were not answered. A call to the Manager of Consumer Relations was a waste of time. So much for Farberware Quality !

In less than 3 months the pot quit working. It worked perfectly at first; hot, good coffee. Then gradually the coffee became lukewarm, then, the pot just quit working. I guess you get what you pay for but, I remember the old Farberware on my neighbours kitchen counter for over 20 years back in the fifties and sixties, it made good coffee. No longer!

This time proven percolater produces excellent tasting coffee, fast, dependable and faithful. Mother purchased a Farberware Percolater many years ago. As the word about the hot, tasty coffee the Farberware Percolater faithfully produced month after month at Moms... spread, the whole family was impressed and eventually purchased the small, medium or large percolater. We use the medium size Farberware Percolater for everyday use and the large size for company. The Farberware Percolater not only produces great tasting coffee but also keeps it flavorful and warm, a feature lacking in many coffemakers.
