A good, basic coffeemaker
Rating:
This coffeemaker is a no-frills machine. It brews quickly, is quiet, and is just right for my office. I find the stainless steel carafe to be very convenient. I don't worry about dropping it and breaking it, and I certainly have not perceived any stainless steel aftertaste in my coffee. (I'm a bit of a coffee snob. I buy my beans from a small roaster, and I haven't had any supermarket stuff in years.) One drawback of the stainless steel carafe, though, is that the coffee burns much more quickly, so I turn the machine off as soon as it's done brewing, and fill my mug as soon as possible. It also drips a bit if you try to pour a cup mid-brew, so the valve isn't that tight. Still, I think it is good value for the money.
Don't Buy
Rating:
Bought it due to good brand reputation and some good reviews. Only (& irredeemable) problem is: Every single cup tastes like stainless steel! The carafe, which looks good, destroys the flavor. I'm trying to salvage this by finding a glass carafe that I can use instead. Don't waste your money on this!
